Vache Hoveyan

Born in 1982 in Yerevan, Vache Hoveyan graduated from Yerevan State Conservatory, studied at Mannes School of Music in New York. He took master classes from Kim Kashkashyan, Nikolai Madoyan, Pinchas Zuckerman, Michael Tree and Yuri Bashmet, participated in various international competitions (“Premio Valentino Bucchi”, “Chilinkiryan National String Competition”, etc.). 
Being recognized as s solo viola player internationally, Vache Hoveyan has been performing with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theater, the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn and other orchestras since 1998. He performed in such prestigious concert halls as Carnegie Hall in New York, Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall, Dartmouth Hall in London, etc. Vache Hoveyan has participated in famous international festivals in Europe, Russia, Armenia, USA, Georgia and other countries. As a chamber music player (duet, trio, quartet) he has performed with famous musicians Ani Kavafyan (USA), Ksenia Bashmet (Russia), Alexander Chaushyan (England), Wei Yi Wang (China), Sergey Khachatryan (Germany) and other soloists.
Vache Hoveyan is the founder of Aram Khachaturian String Quartet. In 2007 Vache Hoveyan was awarded a degree of Candidate of Arts by the scientific council of the Institute of Arts of RA National Academy of Sciences.
