Iason Keramidis

Violin
Iason Keramidis grew up in Greece with music as daily companion from his childhood on. He studied the violin at the music academies of Karlsruhe and Stuttgart with Ingolf Turban and Ulf Hoelscher as well as chamber music with Michael Uhde and Markus Stange. Keramidis has won prizes in numerous national and international competitions. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie, Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, Athens State Orchestra and the National Greek Opera Orchestra. He has given recitals throughout Europe, as well as in the USA, South America, China and Japan. Deputy leader of the Munich Philharmonic since 2018, Iason Keramidis is a member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and of the World Orchestra for Peace.
