Andrés Soto

Andrés Soto began his music studies at the E. E. de Música "Jorge Peña Hen" in La Serena, Chile, and later studied Music at the University of Chile. Between 2006 and 2009 he studied at CSMVigo, Spain.
In the following years he is dedicated to perfecting the orchestration and composition by making a large number of arrangements, orchestrations and transcriptions of varied traditional repertoire for various Orchestras and Symphonic Bands in Spain.
In 2014 he began his studies in the Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at Berklee College of Music - Valencia Campus.
Since 2015 he has orchestrated and composed for some indie videogames highlighting additional orchestrations for the acclaimed video game Fallout 4 among others.
In recent years he has worked composing, orchestrating and conducting for various audiovisual media such as short films, documentaries and advertisements for Spain, Germany, Italy, Argentina, the United States and the United Kingdom.
He has also done several classes and speeches about orchestration and music in video games promoting and spreading the influence of videogame music in pop culture and how it can attract new generations to concert halls. Highlighting activities in several educational centers such as ESMUC, UCLA, UAEM, Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, Music Conservatory Niccolò Paganini, among others.
His arrangements, orchestration and transcriptions have been played by several symphony orchestras highlighting the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, Carlo Felice Theater Orchestra, The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, University of Ottawa Pop Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Jugendorchester Köniz, Philharmonic Orchestra of Toluca, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Coahuila, Filmová Filharmonie, National Symphony Orchestra of Bolivia, Courbevoie Youth Orchestra, Orchester de Trois Chêne, Game Music Ensemble at UCLA, Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra and Coro Università di Pisa, Contemporary Youth Orchestra, Irish Video Game Orchestra, The Elsewhen Orchestra, Michigan Pops Orchestra, Franklin & Marshall College Orchestra, Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra, Hawaii Youth Symphony, Tufts Youth Philharmonics, Studio Orchestra and Choir at The Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, among others.
