Armando Puklavec

Baritone
Croatian baritone Armando Puklavec, born in Čakovec/Međimurje, studied trombone and singing in Varaždin and was educated at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna by Ralf Döring and Robert Holl.
He has won numerous prices at singing competitions in Austria (Hans Gabor-Belvedere in Vienna, Jugend musiziert in Leoben, Wien-Prag-Budapest Academy in Baden), Italy (Palma d'oro in Finale Ligure and Rolando Nicolosi in Taranto), Slovenia (Ondina Otta in Maribor), Slovakia (Lucia Popp,Bratislava), and Poland (Ada Sary, Nowy Sacz).
After his debut in Zagreb as Eugen Onegin he has performed G.Germont - La Traviata, Conte di Luna – Il Trovatore, Rigoletto, Renato - Un ballo in maschera, Rodrigo Posa - Don Carlo, Amonasro - Aida, Tonio - Pagliacci, Alfio - Cavalleria Rusticana, Kurwenal - Tristan und Isolde, Don Pizarro - Fidelio, Figaro – Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Escamillo - Carmen, Belcore - L'elisir d'amore, Malatesta - Don Pasquale, Gianni Schicci, Maecello - La Boheme, Papageno - Die Zauberflöte, Guglielmo - Così fan tutte, Dr. Falke - Fledermaus, Shaklowity - Howanshtchina etc. on diferent operahouses and festivals. With Philharmonia Krakovia he sang Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen of Gustav Mahler. With Zagreb Filharmonic he performed Ein Deutsches Requiem of Johannes Brahms. In Golden Hall of Musikverein in Vienna he performed Carl Orff's Carmina burana and Requiem of Gabriel Faure. He sung under the buttom from Jakov Kreizberg, Nicola Luisotti, Julian Kovachev, Berislav Klobučar, Siegfried Heinrich etc.
Armando Puklavec is also devoted Lieder recitalist.
