Fide Köksal

Vocals
Fide Koksal was born in 1982 in Izmir where she spent her school years until the age of 18. She participated in the choir of the National Turkish Radio & Television (TRT) in Izmir.
In 2000, she attended Marmara University in Istanbul where she studied Political Science and International Relations and graduated in 2004. She was also a member of a Rock Choir (Mavitopluluk) for 2 years (2000-2002), and worked as a trainee in an International Transportation Company (ARKAS). In addition, she attended Mujdat Gezen Academy of Music and Art from 2003 to 2004 in the class of Meltem Taskiran.
Moreover, she took Argentinean tango lessons and became an assistant in Tanju Yildirim dance school. Besides these, she worked in a Production, Organization and Film Company (White Production) in the Department of Sales, PR and Mass Media.
In 2004, she attended Istanbul University Conservatory (The Department of Musical Theatre). In September 2006 she settled in Athens and cooperated with many Greek folk and pop singers in all over the Greece.
She also acted in the TV series Matomena Homata on Alpha TV (2008-2009) and collaborated with George Dalaras in the soundtrack of the series performing two songs of Vasilis Dimitriou with her own lyrics (Dertli Topraklar and Izmirli Yarim). Currently she is performing with Maria Farantouri.
She also wrote the Turkish lyrics to Mimis Plessas` songs and she recorded an album with Plessas in piano, under the title Bridges.
She has a wide range of repertoire from Musicals, Jazz, English, Turkish and Greek Popular music to Classical Turkish Music and Traditional Turkish-Greek common songs. She speaks three languages fluently (Turkish, English and Greek).
Today she is in studio for her second c.d. with the collaboration of well known Greeks and Turkish composers and musicians.
