Lefteris Grivas

He was born in Athens in 1974. At the age of 10 he began studying accordion at Apollonio Conservatory of Athens, next to Labrini Georgoudakis. In 1994 he continued his studies in Paris, next to the French soloist Max Bonnay. In 1997 he received his Diploma with honors and in 1989 he won the 1st Award in the Pan-Hellenic Accordion Competition. Since then he has participated in international festivals and has given many solo recitals.
Since 2000 he studies bayan (a chromatic button accordion) next to Hercules Vavatsikas. He has also participated in a master class led by the Russian soloist Viatcheslav Semionov.
He has collaborated with the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra, the City of Athens Symphony Orchestra and with renowned Greek artists such as George Hatzinasios, Marinella, Anna Vissi and many others.
He is a member of «TANGartO» Quintet, with which he has appeared at the Athens Concert Hall and has made performances in several Greek cities. He is also a member of «Dueto Tango», with which he has already made many performances.
Since 2005 he is a member of the “Mikis Theodorakis” Orchestra, giving concerts all over Greece and abroad (Italy, Egypt and China).
