57th Dimitria Festival
THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE: HALEPAS

Organizer: 57th DIMITRIA FESTIVAL, DIRECTORATE FOR CULTURE-TOURISM, MUNICIPALITY OF THESSALONIKI - THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL
Halepas, an Onassis Stegi production directed by Argyro Chioti, comes to the city for two performances, within the framework of the 57th Dimitria Festival.
Yanoulis Halepas, the ascetic figure of Greek sculpture, whom some called “the Rodin of Greece”, others “a saint, a madman and a cursed artist”, encounters the directorial gaze of Argyro Chioti and the words of The Boy.
A contemporary music tragedy that retraces the sculptor’s steps between silence and absurdity, stillness and creativity. The lives and deaths of Yanoulis Halepas in a dream-like narrative.
The play is presented with the cooperation and support of the Onassis Stegi, “Eksostrefeia” Programme.

The play will feature English surtitles.
