This recital is Paris Tsenikoglou’s first appearance at the Concert Hall of his home town. The programme begins with the demanding Sonata in B flat major, Op. 22 by Beethoven, which is the last Sonata of the composer’s first period. The pianist continues with the Second Book of Images by Debussy, which is also included in his personal recordings. The second part of the recital starts with the first two pieces of the First Book of the significant work Iberia by Spanish composer Ιsaac Albéniz. The last piece of Paris Tsenikoglou’s performance will be the work Gaspard de la Νuit by Maurice Ravel, a masterpiece of the French impressionism, demanding high virtuosity, based on the poetic trilogy of the same name by Aloysius Bertrand.
