A powerful musical performance with songs born of the world crisis. Songs that unite the ecstasy of the Greek speaking regions of Southern Italy, the mystery of Balkan polyphony, the profound longing of the Portuguese fado, the Doric simplicity of American blues and gospel music, and, of course, Greek rebetiko. They will play songs from their album To Be Safe as well as new compositions from their upcoming recording.
The two women’s heartfelt and explosive performances are accompanied by an ecstatic rhythm section, comprised of Alexis Apostolakis on drums and Christos Tsaprazis on double bass.
