MARIA CALLAS FOREVER

The Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the Institute for Studies and Solidarity organize an exhibition of personal belongings and clothes of the famous, greek soprano, Maria Callas.
The authentic, personal objects of the reknowned artist (Collected by Nikos Charalambopoulos) are exhibited for the first time in Greece.
A magic voice, incomparable acting and unprecedented expressiveness established her. Maria Callas was larger than life. She was named a myth, a legend, a phenomenon. According to Franco Zeffirelli "opera is divided in two periods: before and after Maria Callas". Her LP's, CD's and DVD's have helped keep her memory alive. Maria Callas' star will never set.
The exhibition will open on the 16th September (8.30 p.m.), on the anniversary of her death.
