DMSA WIND INSTRUMENTS ORCHESTRA – JAZZ ORCHESTRA: FESTIVE MUSIC & X-MAS JAZZ

The wind instruments of the Department of Music Science & Art (DMSA) of the University of Macedonia come together in a unique and different concert with a festival touch. The PNOES workshop was founded in 2016 and is directed by DMSA professor Kostas Hassiotis. Its purpose is to research and promote contemporary thought on wind instruments ensembles, to showcase the Greek and international repertoires and promote the related techniques of teaching, studying, conducting, composing and implementation. The Wind and Jazz orchestras are at the core of the workshop’s activities. Their repertoire includes works of Greek and international art music as well as established jazz pieces.
