For all to enjoy, the recently-established Vassilis Tsitsanis Orchestra, an initiative of Tsitsanis' family and the composer's music publisher Seed Point, with the support of music events organiser Prospero productions, will be performing at Thessaloniki Concert Hall with two magnificent singers, Dimitra Galani and Natassa Bofiliou. The songs of the greatest composer of Greek popular music, whose strength and impact remain untarnished by time and continue to amaze us, are presented by two unique artists and an orchestra of exceptional musicians who have been performing the works of Tsitsanis for many years.
The Vassilis Tsitsanis Orchestra made its debut with this performance in early December 2018 at the Athens Concert Hall. The concert was a resounding success. On stage performing favourite Vassilis Tsitsanis songs, with their own special interpretations, were two unique singers: Dimitra Galani, a remarkable protagonist of Greek song for over 40 years, who stands out for the consistency, vision and quality of her music selections and who had been singled out by Tsitsanis himself to interpret his songs; and Natassa Bofiliou, one of the most important, talented and beloved singers of modern Greek music, with her own highly unique stage performance.
