A concert with compositions and orchestrations inspired by Greek and related music traditions
The work "Music Poetry & Music Ensembles: Traditions in the 21st Century" attempts to reinforce and strengthen the bond between Music Poetics and Contemporary Composition with innovative ways of orchestration, with the aim of creating musical material that will creatively incorporate immediacy, rhythmic and melodic forms as well as the music-poetic structure of historical music traditions with the wordage of contemporary music composition and creation. Among the expected results of the endeavor is the enrichment of the contemporary repertoire of mixed music ensembles, which is an established need in the context of both music education and contemporary artistic creation.
