Met Conductor James Levine directs this early drama by Verdi; the story takes place in ancient Babylon; with Nabucco Plácido Domingo adds a new role in his repertory, playing the main character. Liudmyla Monastyrska interprets the dynamic role of Abigaille, Nabucco’ s decisive daughter, with Jamie Barton as Fenena, Russell Thomas as Ismaele and Dmitry Belosselskiy as Prophet Zaccaria, in the role of his debut with the Met in 2011.
