Welcome to the 73rd CIRP General Assembly in Thessaloniki, Greece, to be held August 18-24, 2024. This annual distinguished event brings together approximately 700 experts from academia and industry in the field of production engineering.

Founded in 1951, the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP - College International pour la Recherche en Productique) aims to address scientifically, through international cooperation, issues related to modern production science and technology, with around 600 members worldwide.

As we gather in Thessaloniki, we find ourselves in a city with a rich history dating back to the ancient Macedonians. Today, Thessaloniki is experiencing a strong revival, serving as the prime port for the whole of Southeastern Europe. Thessaloniki is a vibrant city, home to more than 140.000 students, and the renown Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the largest university in Greece. The city is also recognized as an innovation and technological hub, rapidly becoming the most important and recognizable innovation center in the region.

Moreover, Thessaloniki’s gastronomic reputation follows its 23 century history and is globally recognized, as it is the first Greek city to join UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network for gastronomy.
We look forward to welcoming you to this crosslink of cultures, where the past and the present coexist, creating a unique blend of experiences.

Join us in Thessaloniki, a place where people and ideas merge to create growth and prosperity.
