Music Ensemble
The Avantgarde Ensemble, Mihail Jora Philharmonic’s chamber music band, has in recent years played in Romania in cities like Bacău, Moinești, Slănic Moldova, Comănești, Onești, Iași, but also in Italy, where it has participated in two editions of Tropea's "Armonia della Magna Graecia" Festival, collaborating on multiple occasions with the famous Italian pianist Emilio Aversano. 
Double bassist Ciprian Carare, a soloist with over 20 years of activity, has also joined the project. Roberto Salvalaio, conductor and soloist (bayan), will be special guest at this exceptional concert. He has an impressive track record as a soloist, but also as a conductor. He has played in Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, Norway, the Philippines, Japan, the US, Mongolia, China, South Korea, and many other countries.
In recent years he has been a permanent guest conductor at Ulan Bator's National Opera in Mongolia, and artistic director of the chamber music orchestra in Osaka, Japan. Between 1995 - 2015 he was a permanent collaborator for Pagani, an Italian publishing house that owns the rights to many of Astor Piazzolla's works - pieces of music that Roberto Salvalaio himself rearranged / orchestrated for various chamber ensembles.
