Christos Papageorgiou is a multi-active, multi prize winner, performing musician.
His activities include playing solo piano recitals and concerts, conducting (usually from the piano), composing concert and film music, lecturing and teaching, all with equal critical and public acclaim. He is widely known in his country, as a performer-producer of Classical Music programs for TV and Radio National Channels.
Christos Papageorgiou, has received many distinctions for his compositions, including the
First Prize at the
"5th International Competition for Composition 2 Agosto" (Italy) for his "Electric Guitar Concerto". He has also received
many First prizes and distinctions in five
International Piano Duo Competitions in U.S.A, Japan, Italy, Czech Republic and Switzerland. He was
the recipient of the "Young Artist of the Year" award for 1998 by the "National Society of Critics for music and drama".
His music is performed worldwide by important musicians such as:
N.Y.Phil. Chamber Soloists, renown guitarist Oscar Ghiglia and many others.

Berlin Philharmonie, Barbican Hall, Carnegie (Weil) Hall, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elisabeth Hall, Kensington Palace, St.James Palace, Casals Hall - Kioi Hall - Kodaira Hall (Tokyo), Rudolfinum Dvorakhall, Basler Konzerthaus, BernKulturkasino, Athens Megaron, Thessaloniki Megaron e.t.c. He has recorded for B.B.C, RAI, ARD, Suisse Radio, Berlin Radio 3 and many others.
He graduated in piano and composition with first prize and distinctions from the Athens State Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music in London also with full scholarship and the "Leverhume Trust Fellowship", obtaining his "Master in Music" from the University of London, LRAM Teaching Diploma and Diploma of Advanced Studies. He is also a recipient of the LLCM (Thames Valley University, London) in conducting. He was also
granted the Onassis Foundation scholarship.
Since 2002 he is broadcasting weekly from National Radio 3, playing and analyzing every style of music in order to make it accessible to the broad public. He has also produced more than 40 TV music programs on the National, Digital-plus and Satellite TV ET1 CHANNEL. He is being frequently asked to present live concert-lectures either solo or with orchestra. Christos Papageorgiou has been teaching music and piano at the Ionian University in Corfu and in many Institutions around Greece (National School of Dance e.t.c.)
