Michalis Siganides

Double bass
Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1958, Michalis Siganides plays the double bass and the five-string guitar. He is widely known as a composer whose music embodies dramatized audio cut-ups based on greek poems as well as his own lyrics. His compositions are performed on a frequent basis by the groups Siganidae5 (former Friends of Miltos Sachtouris) and the Lambrakis' Complex.
Michalis Siganides is a lifetime member of the groups Chimerini Kolimvites, Primavera en Salonico and collaborates with a range of musicians, members of the contemporary improvisation music scene, as well as songwriters.
