The Interbalkan Choir is founded upon the particular experience and knowledge of the polyphony of the Balkan peoples and the idiomatic vocal charisma of the region.
The common history of the Balkan countries as part of the great empires, their pagan origins, Orthodoxy as well as their individual multi-religious influences, the interaction in their daily life, cuisine and music create a homogeneity, which is solidified through the individual diversity of each people, thereby resulting in a collaboration of great interest.
We join our voices as bridges of communication, partnership and creation, reinforcing what unites us and jointly confronting what divides us.
