Gypsy and Balkan melodies that inspired scholarly composers, works of scholarly composers that became mainstream, a celebration of temperament delivered by four leading virtuosos together on the stage. The programme includes works by Bartók, Brahms and Constantinides together with traditional music and improvisations from Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.
The first part of the 2nd Disquieted Sounds Festival took part on 9 & 11 November 2018.
