Gabriela Garrizo and Franck Chartier founded the Peeping Tom company in 2000, based in Brussels. The dance-theatre troupe with artists from different fields, including some exceptional dancers, became famous by creating extreme performances that daringly touch upon painful issues regarding the human condition.
The production of Moeder is the second part of a trilogy: Vader (Father), Moeder (Mother), Kinderen (Children). They explore the subject of memory and the mother figure with the same tenderness and realism, as they have done in all of their previous productions. The approach memories and events during our lives that determine who we are, in order for us to search deep in our past.
