Romeo and Juliet by Gounod, based on Shakespeare's play. Damrau makes her début in the role of Juliet in the new production directed by Bartlett Sher and conducted by Gianandrea Noseda. Elliot Madore plays Mercutio and Mikhail Petrenko Friar Lawrence. This performance directed by Sher is a production of La Scala, first performed at Salzburg Festival in 2008.
