Action includes live interactive reading aloud of fairy-tales and books, in combination with dramatic improvisation methods and music. In particular, this is a programme catering for children with disabilities and motor, visual or listening impairment. The aim is for children of special skills to be included and participate in a group action.
Participants range from 10 to 15 children. The programme addresses children from the age of 8 to the age of 12 years, so that a relatively homogeneous group can be created to enhance optimal communication.
The children can be at the action hall unaccompanied and acting independently; however, parents and guardians can be in the broader venue of Thessaloniki Concert Hall. The ‘Reading for Others’ NGO will provide carers to look after the children’s needs.
