RHYTHM: OUR COMMON LANGUAGE

T.C.H. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE TELLOGLION FOUNDATION

Workshop for persons with hearing loss
A workshop where persons with hearing loss can come into contact with music and percussion instruments.
Persons with hearing loss of all ages are invited to participate and contribute in an innovative artistic and educational experience held in a specially designed area.
Drawing on the heightened ability of persons with hearing loss to take in visual stimuli as well as their capacity to perceive rhythm, we have put together a series of interactive activities for both children and adults, regardless of prior musical training.
Under the guidance of motivators/musicians, participants are encouraged to interact with the specially designed and constructed sound installations, wooden constructions that enhance the dissemination of sound vibrations, and video installations, in an experiential music workshop. The space is specially designed for a journey into the synaesthesia of music, where experienced musicians/motivators and participants create a new musical soundscape at every meeting.
With rhythm as the common language, hearing and non-hearing persons communicate, create and improvise in a musical platform that combines games and exploration.
Participation is free for the hearing-impaired.
