Panagiotis Trohopoulos presents a particularly formidable programme, which includes among other things all of Rachmaninoff’s Preludes, Op. 23, and culminates with the Thessaloniki première of Liszt’s Fantasy on two Themes from Mozart’s opera Le Nozze di Figaro - perhaps the most demanding of the composer’s transcendent operatic transcriptions - further enriched by the virtuoso pianist and composer, Ferruccio Busoni.
