JAZZ AT THE CONCERT HALL

PETROS KLAMPANIS GROUP

CO-PRODUCED BY T.C.H. & TECHNOTROPON-ARTWAY IN CO-OPERATION WITH THE ''FRIENDS OF JAZZ & CREATIVE MUSIC'' ASSOCIATION
You have the paintbrush, you have the colours, paint Paradise and walk right in”, wrote Nikos Kazantzakis. Through this phrase, Petros Klampanis transforms his experiences into musical colours and presents a collection of compositions that have become a palette of emotions, ideas and impressions from his personal life experiences. With the hope that these compositions will move the members of the audience and lead them to remember or discover new colours for their own personal palettes, Petros Klampanis will appear at Thessaloniki Concert Hall for a single evening.
Petros Klampanis and his colleagues will present compositions from his upcoming album titled Chroma and from his previous album, Minor Dispute, which was released in May 2014 and was warmly received by the domestic and international press.

A formidable player and composer.
'JazzTimes'

Petros Klampanis is a musician who has always spoken from the heart.
'DownBeat'

Klampanis is a Bass Ace.
'Bass Player'

I admit that I am always impressed when I hear a musician like Klampanis give us the gift of his creativity performed on such a timeless vessel.
'Bass Musician'

Klampanis plays solo bass with a loop pedal to create a «double bass orchestra» on «Basscope» and «Blue Cave», which are done so masterfully that you'd think it was a full symphony.
'No Treble'

Is this man the best kept secret in Jazz Music?
'ibassmagazine'

Mr. Klampanis thoughtful new album, “Minor Dispute,” incorporates chamber string arrangements and a worldly, streamlined rhythmic pulse.
'New York Times'

This is very emotional music, where the assembled players bring all their interpretive skills to bear as they figuratively scale mountains, wrestle seas and find a place of centered calm.
