2016 has officially been declared ‘Year of Russia in Greece and the Year of Greece in Russia’. In this framework, the two countries aim to strengthen their traditional ties of friendship and their further growth in all fields, to the mutual benefit of both peoples.
The students of the Department of Music Science & Art of the University of Macedonia, under the supervision of Professors Vinia Tsopela, Uwe Matschke and Associate Professor Igor Petrin, will present a programme consisting of a revue of piano music by Russian and Soviet composers, from the founder of the renowned Russian School, Mikhail Glinka, to the modern age.
