In March of 2011 the Thessaloniki Concert Hall set the basis for a Childrens’ Choirs Festival. This year, the 2nd Festival has chosen a slightly different thematic direction; that of the Voices of Balkans, thus converting this Festival into a true «Cultural Crossroad»; a crossroad that will emit a substantive message of optimism and hope for the future.
The festival will last for four days and a number of concerts with Choirs from Thessaloniki and the Balkans will take place during these days. A prominent personality of the choral music scene, Basilio Astúlez, will co-ordinate this year’s workshop and will direct the festive concert at the end of the festival.
All the venues will be connected by a new work that will be awarded 1rst Prize in the composition competition that is organized by the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the Teloglion Institute of Arts. The competition’s theme is the myth of hospitality.
Tickets: 8€ (students), 10€
