MIKE KENNY: BOY WITH A SUITCASE

IN COOPERATION WITH THE STATE THEATRE OF NORTHERN GREECE
Boy with a Suitcase by Mike Kenny, a touching performance by the Youth Stage of the State Theatre of Northern Greece, directed by Michalis Sionas, is staged in January at Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
There will be three extraordinary performances in the context of the thematic module “War– Refugee Waves– Migration”, as well as the broader cooperation scheme of the two major cultural agencies of the city.
Boy with a Suitcase is a play written for both children and adult audiences. The highly distinguished British playwright deals with a exceptionally topical issue. This is a performance aspiring to raise our awareness of the major refugee problem and the issue of forced and violent migration.
A handmade performance, without an impressive set or costumes, supported by the essential materials of the dramatic art: Play, transformation, true feelings, improvisation, imagination and communication between the actors and the audience.

Performance for School audiences: Friday 20 January – at 10:30 (admission: €6)
