JUILLIARD STRING QUARTET

The Juilliard String Quartet was founded in 1946. Over its 72-year history it has become famous for its exceptional virtuosity and skilled interpretations, as well as for its wide repertoire which extends from classical works to later composers. It is based in the famous Juilliard School in New York, where its members are teachers. The Quartet's celebrated discography includes over 100 titles and four Grammy awards.
In September 2018, Areta Zhulla, the renowned Greek violinist born in Thessaloniki, joined the quartet as first violinist.
The Quartet's European tour kicks off in January 2019 with performances in England, Denmark, Spain, Holland, Norway and Thessaloniki.
