C. Samaras: Byzantine Passions (world premiere)
The TSSO perform the world premiere of Christos Samaras’s Byzantine Passions. Classical and Byzantine music are united on stage and fortified by the Divine Word through the narration of the celebrated actor Thanasis Kourlampas. In this composition, the great contemporary Greek composer deliberates on the Divine Drama and the Crucifixion, artfully incorporating elements of Byzantine music.
